Community Service KK CITI at Borobudur Village
Community service activities focused on creating solar panels for Borobudur Village in Magelang, Indonesia, are a powerful initiative to promote sustainable development while addressing the region’s energy needs. Borobudur, known for its iconic Buddhist temple and rich cultural heritage, faces energy challenges that hinder its growth and the well-being of its residents dan tourists. By engaging expertise group (Kelompok Keahlian) Communication and Information Technology Infrastructure, Telkom University volunteers in designing, assembling, and installing solar panels. The goal of these activities are providing an affordable and renewable energy source for the community in Borobudur village. Such efforts aimed to enhance access for tourist especially to recharge their electronic devices, and also to reduce dependency on fossil fuels, helping to protect the environment and preserve the natural beauty of the area.
These projects foster a spirit of collaboration and skill-sharing, empowering the local population with knowledge about renewable energy technologies. Workshops and hands-on training sessions teach villagers how to maintain and repair the solar panels, ensuring long-term benefits and self-sufficiency.
